Music & Entertainment,

Wednesday night’s function was Corporate Dinner Night for Family Relationships Australia at the stunning Brisbane City Hall, Main Auditorium. Words really cannot express how amazing this place is. I’ve never been inside the City Hall, and whats great about the venue is just how amazing it looks when you walk into the room all setup.

The first thing you notice is the amazing circular design right up in the ceiling, filled with beautiful interchanging lights which changed throughout the night with various patterns and designs. Then the floor/room is filled with this amazing pink uplighting (well in this case, down lighting from the ceiling) which created this stunning atmosphere as guests walked in.

Family Relationships Australia contacted me about a month or two before – looking for a DJ for their Corporate Dinner Night to entertain the guests after their presentation/corporate dinner. Initially I thought I was unable to do this function as my sound system couldn’t cater for a room of up to (maximum) 2000 guests. Especially being a large auditorium the sound configuration requires alot of technical setup. But, after doing some research and networking with some other DJ’s – I was able to use the Auditorium’s Sound System which was managed by their AV crew. So they provided the sound, I provided the Entertainment.

I wish I had the budget Brisbane City Hall does when it comes to sound & lighting. Man did it sound good!

After Dinner and presentations were finished, it was straight into the 80’s Old School Dancing hits, full of Abba, B52’s, Michael Jackson, and more. Everyone got up and shaked their tailfeather and then we played some more recent/modern music for a few of the younger crowd that were requesting the likes of Uptown Funk, and Down Town etc.

Sadly we had to finish at 11pm, even though everyone was enjoying themselves, but hopefully I’ll get to do their next Corporate Dinner Night if held in Brisbane.
