Sarah & Damien’s wedding was HEAPS of fun.

I was so glad to be part of their day, held at the Golden Ox, in Margate – in the Redcliffe area.

When I met with Sarah & Damien and we talked about what they wanted, and how they envisioned their day – it was just obvious they wanted the day to be really fun, and a great party environment for everyone to enjoy – and we discussed several ideas and options that we could do to create that for them.

We also talked about how we can create a Personalised Bridal Waltz for them – and Sarah really loved that idea!

So after all the planning and even attending the rehearsals with them at the Golden Ox on Friday (the day before the wedding) – the day finally arrived and I headed out and started setting up at 1:00pm – and then headed on over to the Ceremony area waiting for the boys & the guests to start arriving. It wasn’t long until guests started arriving, and making their way finding their seats. Vanessa from Butterfly Ceremonies was very helpful and assisted guests and we worked out timings and music, along with Lauren (the function manager at the Golden Ox).

And then it was show time! With the big doors closed, guests were seated as Sarah and the Bridal Party waited outside.

As soon as Sarah was ready (through the help of Lauren!) I hit play and with that powerful song from Twilight – the Bridal Party walked down the isle – and then shortly after Sarah walked down – and there was already tears from Damien! It was a beautiful ceremony and we even had some singing from I think it was her a family friend and her daughter – singing “Can you feel the Love tonight”, as Sarah LOVES Disney.

After the Ceremony, guests enjoyed a few quiet drinks and mingled, heading up to the Reception area to be seated, for the fun to really begin.

The room was set beautifully. It looked amazing. I added in some subtle color through some light Pink & Purple uplighting, and also a customised logo projected up on the wall for them.

From the minute Sarah & Damien walked into the room at the Golden Ox – they were just ready to relax and enjoy. That was the tone – even the guests were just having fun and enjoying themselves. With a few surprises up my sleeve for them – and a grand entrance that everyone is going to remember the night was underway.

We had a WedPics App running throughout the night – encouraging everyone to take snappy photos at the table, or of the Bride & Groom, and even had a few little activities throughout the night for guests to enjoy. There was even a surprise dance for Sarah co-ordinated by the Best Man (who is a bit of a professional dancer himself!) and Damien who they secretly created a dance to the song “Kiss” by Prince.

The best part of the night though – was seeing guests sing the song “Oh I Just Can’t Wait to be King” from the Lion King – everyone in the room just sun the song out nice and loud at the top of their lungs. I’m pretty sure the neighbors even heard it!

Guests had a great night dancing until the late hours of 12:00am – dancing to a variety of different songs, from the 90’s and even modern hits as well. Although Sarah & Damien headed off around 11:00pm, guests still partied until the end – at about 12:00am dancing the night away as they were having so much fun!
