It was about 1am that I got an email from Ethan looking for a DJ for their Christmas Party when their DJ at the time was unable to do their event. Occasionally we get these calls from time to time so I was happy to help Ethan out.
1300 Medics is a great organisation that provides a highly specialised team of medics providing First Aid response for a variety of events big & small.
They were looking to have some fun at their Christmas Party with some upbeat music, and tunes so everyone could enjoy themselves and celebrate with the year 2016 coming to a close. Their Christmas Party was held over at the Urban Hotel, providing them with a 180 degree view of the Brisbane CBD skyline!
So, after my Bat Mitzvah that finished up earlier in the afternoon I headed over to the Urban Hotel and started setting up for their Christmas Party. Ethan was there with the team setting up and getting everything ready – and we had a Photobooth as well to join in with the fun of getting heaps of photos & crazy prop photos of all the staff.
I threw around some coloured lights around the room to help with the Christmas Party theme, and just give it a bit of color – and also organised a few games after some formalities occurred later on in the night.
The night started off with guests arriving, and I had arranged for some lucky door prizes to be given out as part of a quick little ice breaker/entertainment with a few raffle tickets.
Music flowed throughout the night with a variety of music and Top 40 that people just chilled out and tapped their feet along – with some formal announcements half way through the night and a slideshow which I helped setup and patched in for some sound as well.
After that – the Christmas Party was in full swing! I did a few games with some random audience members selected out to participate (with some prizes) and then the music flowed which saw everyone on the Dance Floor.
The best part, they managed to create a Random Limbo stick to have an epic Limbo showdown. It was so much fun to watch & be part of.
