Alex & Quincy were such a lovely couple to work with.

They got in touch with me back in June earlier this year after they were going to get a friend (a guest of the wedding) to be the DJ, but could no longer be available. After a quick chat over Skype, as they were living in a remote location and talking about my services they were happy to have me as their Wedding DJ & MC for the day.

We talked several times over Skype to work out the plans, options and run times for the day – and what they wanted for their wedding.

Their wedding venue was absolutely beautiful! The whole day was picture perfect! After driving 2 hours out of Brisbane and arriving on site – it was just picture perfect for their special day. With the beautiful mountains in the background over looking the Toowoomba hinterland area it was just stunning. I actually stopped for a few minutes just to take it all in!

So, after taking everything, it was time to get to work!

First thing on the list after checking in with Matthew the Function Manager and going through any special instructions – it was was time to setup over at the Ceremony area to get all the sound & setup done. Once that was finished, I headed back over to the Reception area and setup some more equipment ready for the later part in the evening.

After that, I met with the Limousine Drives to co-ordinate them into position as we had to work a few things out on their approach and where they were going, and after that, I stayed nearby the wedding ceremony area to welcome guests as they got off the coach and guided them down to the wedding ceremony area. Alex gave me a note to give to Quincy which I handed over to him, and videoed his response in a quick message back to her!

The Ceremony was just beautiful! Cars drove down the driveway/hill area and pulled up as Quincy waited for the Bridesmaids to walk down, followed by Alex who was just beautiful! The fun part was blind-folding Quincy while Alex got into the car so he couldn’t see anything – which guests found amusing.

After the Ceremony was finished – I helped the photographer with some photos and gathering a few people around – keeping everyone informed of what was going on – while Alex & Quincy headed off and got some cheeky photos with their bridal party.

Heading up to the venue not long after – guests made their way inside to a beautiful setting for their wedding reception.

We welcomed the Bridal Party into the room with a bit of fun, and style – and then the night was enjoyed with guests mingling and chatting – enjoying the beautiful food and wine, along with some entertainment and light hearted speeches in between.

Their cake was amazing too. I love seeing so many different types of cakes. Their 3 tier cake stood to the side which guests took lots of photos – I added some extra lighting on top just to help make it stand out as it got darker, and to create that bit more emphasis on it as well.

One of my favourite parts was Alex & Quincy’s Father/Daughter & Mother/Son Dance – it was just amazing, and not long after followed by the Bridal Waltz – guests surrounded them on the Dance Floor under the lights to a few songs.

After the Bridal Waltz – guests made their way back inside and continued with dessert with some dancing on the D-floor before heading back onto the bus to head home.

I even got some really lovely feedback from them both saying thanks for my services!

Brad came to Toowoomba to be the MC & DJ for our wedding in September, naturally we didn’t have much idea on what was involved in either roles but Brad absolutely rocked at both! he personalised every little detail and took the time to get to know Quincy and i before the big day. When someone loves what they do its easy to see. Thank you for ensuring our day had the vibe we hoped for, the Skype calls, many emails and thinking of the things we didn’t. Alex & Quincy xx
