Ashleigh & Jamie are such a cute couple that met each other over 6 years ago out in Toowoomba at a party they went to, I spoke to them back in November last year when they were looking for someone to be their Wedding DJ & MC for their big day out at Boonah Valley Motel. After deciding to book, we caught up just after the Fitzy’s Wedding Expo in February and sat down and went through some of the planning details, and questions to find out how everything was going to be done the day, who was doing what and where etc.
Leading up to their Wedding day, I got in touch with Boonah Valley Motel and sent them through a Run Sheet with all the details – as there was a few things to co-ordinate, and then left home about 10:30am in the morning for the 2 hour drive and got ready to setup for their Wedding Ceremony & Reception as DJ & MC.
On arriving I met up with the function manager, and headed up to the Ceremony area to get ready.
The Ceremony looked beautiful! It had a very nice country feel to it, along with some yard games for guests to enjoy as they waited for the Ceremony to start, along with some drinks as well.
It wasn’t long until the Ceremony was about to start – and I caught up with the celebrant to go through any requirements that she needed.
After the Ceremony, it was time for some group photos. Ashleigh gave me a list of family photos that she needed, and I helped gather up all the friends & family so that people could get their photo taken. Then not long after that, the Ceremony concluded, and they headed off to get some photos at a few locations.
The Reception started at about 5:30pm – 6:00pm so when it was time for guests to come down – they didn’t take long. It was a little chilly outside so Boonah Valley Motel had the fire places on to make it all nice and toasty. Guests gathered around the fire places rubbing hands together to warm up – while I assisted some people finding their tables & seats, along with a few elderly people as well.
Once everyone was settled, it was time for Jamie & Ashleigh to head on in! … and this was the fun part. I got all the crowd warmed up ready for their big introduction – along with a few surprises – and then our Bridal Party came in with a bit of a twist which they were not expecting! Friends & Family cheered as everyone came in 1 by 1, and then after a few quick welcomes & introductions, along with some house keeping it was time to relax and enjoy the festivities.
The room looked stunning, Ashleigh had done so much work organizing, arranging, selecting, deciding – on just about everything. She had done an amazing job! Alot of the guests were commenting on all the different things she had chosen – and even Mum & Dad helped out with a few bits and pieces as well.
Both of them wanted the night to be full of fun & laughter – and after speeches we had a few more games to get the audience involved, along with the Bride & Groom with a couple of quick activities as well.
They enjoyed their first dance on the dance floor, and it wasn’t long until everyone started dancing the night away with a bit of mix of music, including some Country Songs as well.
Ashleigh also left some lovely feedback on our Facebook page, saying thanks for being part of their day which was really nice of her!
