It was such a pleasure to be part of Ben & Sharnie’s wedding, and also an honour to be their MC for the night.
I met Ben & Sharnie quite a few months ago over a coffee at Eatons Hill to discuss my services and how I could help make their night exactly what Sharnie & Ben wanted, Fun, Upbeat & Entertaining. We went through a number of different services and packages and after finding the right one – the consultations started from there.
Everything about the night was personalised. From the room filled decorated with the color Blue, to her custom Monogram Logo which Sharni designed – up on the wall, AND their customised Musical Edits for their Bridal Waltz as well. It was beautiful, and it was exactly them. Sharni & Ben had personalised introductions for their Bridal Party – that were secretly made up so no one knew what was going to be said – which was really funny.
We started the night straight away with the Bridal Waltz, because as surprise to the guests – they had been practicing their Bridal Waltz with a customised dance routine that they learnt – and OH MY GOD was it amazing. Talk about dancing with the stars, it was just beautiful to watch, filled with jumps, dips, swings, twirls, everything. Everyone was amazed when they performed it. I really can’t describe to you how great it was. But it was definitely a 10/10.
The night did have a few problems – which had to be managed as best as we could – unfortunately the Catering Company did have some problems with food – so we had to improvise on the night and bring forward the speeches – and then we had some light games afterwards to keep everyone amused – with a stellar guitar performance by Estelle one of the Bridal Party members. After that, we decided to do the Father Daughter Dance, and then straight into the dancing.
Dancing was alot of fun! We played a number of different songs throughout the night and EVERYONE got up and had a great dance. From Time Warp, Gangnan Style (Grooms request), Ying Yang Twins – Low, it was a broad mix – even the Macarena – it was a fun crowd that danced to just about everything! We even managed to do a LIMBO on the Dance Floor thanks to some Streamers used as props! Everyone really got into it!
The photographer, Pete from Absolution Photography was really busy throughout the night getting some great photos of speeches, to the Father/Daughter dance, to the guests on the Dancefloor. Pete was really professional on the day and took some great photos of everyone – you should definatley check out his website he has some great images – and has a very relaxed and non-invasive approach. Ben & Sharni were such a fun & cheeky couple and it was a really great night that everyone enjoyed themselves.
Unfortunately I popped a button on my suit, so looks like I need to buy a new suit now! (Which is always a great excuse!)
