February 29th 2016 – A leap year wedding, that only comes around once every 4 years.

On this night, Rhys & Steph celebrated their Wedding with friends & family by the water at the Waterfront Hotel in Maroochydore. This was their favourite spot to go fishing, where Rhys would teach Steph how to catch fish, and most of the time – untangle her line when she got it all messed up!

It was great to meet with them, and sit down and go through their special day (leading up to, and planning) what they wanted, how they wanted their night to flow, and provide a DJ & MC service for them on the night.

Rhys & Steph were such a fun couple to work with, and Steph was REALLY excited about all the elements that they had both planned. Her theme was a tropical beach setting with some touches of Marvel/DC including the custom cake topper from their favorite video game “Fallout”, AND not to mention her AMAZING Lolly Buffet which was so hard to walk past all those desserts, looking at everything from Marshmellows, to Avenger style Cup Cakes, Fortune Cookies, …. oh my god there was just so much. I nearly died!

Jessica and Ben from Photography by the Pauls was there, grabbing lots of Video & Photos of everyone having a great night – and Rhys & Steph’s entrance. We had a few activities throughout the night to keep with the Marvel / DC Theme, and by request of Steph she really wanted the Shoe Game so we played that too!

At 8:30pm we had a Sparkler Photo shoot out on the deck, overlooking the water – which was something Steph had also requested so we got everyone to come out the back with a Sparkler and with some calculated timings – we lit all the sparklers up at once and they ran through the tunnel of love!

Followed by some quick speeches, the Lolly Buffet was finally open. Guests danced the rest of the night away, with lots of 90’s hits that Steph loved to listen to!
