Oh boy, I was SO excited to be part of Steve & Roisin’s Wedding day. I don’t know where to start!

It was such a big day, for everyone. So much emotion, laughter, craziness, the logistics, the transport, the colors, the guests and their crazy chanting. The CAKE, I mean even the Cake was just amazing. I have never seen such a cool cake. Anyway, enough about the cake. I’ll get to that later…

Steve & Roisin have such an affectionate, and addictive personality that are just great to be around. After talking about their plans for their wedding – the keyword really was for it to just be FUN. They really wanted their guests to have a great time, and the day was just full of enjoyment.

The logistics and timing involved was quite important.

  1. Wedding Ceremony at 2:00pm.
  2. Boat Cruise at 4:00pm.
  3. Wedding Reception at 5:00pm.

Their Wedding Ceremony started at 2:00pm up at Noosa Beach at Hasting’s Point, Sunshine Coast.

So I ended up leaving home about 9:30am, on the highway to Sunshine Coast Motorway to get to Noosa Boat House about 11:00am – and start setting up my equipment for the Reception, and then shortly after heading over to the Ceremony area about 12:00pm get the Music setup there for the guitarist before everyone arrives.

After setting up my Speaker & Microphone (on a battery powered system) – the Ceremony was set ready to go. The groomsmen arrived in their kilts, and judging by the heat – so I decided to head over to the shops to buy some bottles of water to keep them hydrated as it was pretty hot day. This worked exceptionally well – because their beautiful Malamute & Border Collie were pretty thirsty so they even got a cool refreshing drink to calm them down.

The Ceremony was just amazing. Great views, cool sea breeze and wonderful weather for it. After they were officially declared husband & wife, it was time for some photos. Ben from Ben Connolly did a great job taking photos of everyone, while Sunshine Coast Videography captured all the special moments. Once the photos was done and watching the time – it was time to get everyone to the boats. So everyone ended up walking down with me – to the Jetty, where the boats where awaiting. Success!! Or so I thought…. A few guests got lost. So running around Hastings Point, trying to find a few people that got lost and went to the wrong Jetty – I was on the phone to them helping them find their way – and at the same time holding the boats up.

Okay, so once everyone was on the boat, cruising away with Canape’s & Drinks – along the Sunshine Coast/Hasting Point River, I was back in the car heading to the Noosa Boat House for Part #3 of the show to continue.

Guests were welcomed to a room full of color, and detail. With different colored sachet tables, and colorful uplighting in the background – fairy lights – and amazing views of the water it really set the tone for a fun night ahead. After getting everyone seated for the Bridal Party introductions & after checking with everyone (Photographer, Videographer, Venue) that everyone was ready to go – it was time to introduce them in! We introduced everyone into the room with roaring claps and stomps and cheering as each person came in – following by another huge roar of cheers and whistles for Roisin & Steve.

With Entree being served, followed by Mains, and then some heart-felt speeches from Father of the Bride & Groom, along with Nick (who was just hilarious) the night was just full of tears & laughter. One of my favourite part of the night, was one of the tables constantly saying everyone’s name repetitively, such as “Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve”, or if i would announce the cake cutting – they would be like “Cake, Cake, Cake, Cake, Cake” haha.

Roisin’s Feedback

Absolutely amazing! So glad we had Brad there to make our day run smoothly! When guests got lost on the way from ceremony to reception he swooped in to save the day. He had awesome lights set up for us and got the party going with all our fave songs. Had lots of comments from guests about how fab he was and even at the end of the night when his job was done he went out of the way to get us home safe and sound. So glad we had a Pro to run the day!
