I met Tahlia & Jordan at the Minden Retreat Wedding Expo back in September last year, to have a chat to them about my services for their wedding. After having a chat about my DJ & MC service that I offer, and what it includes – they decided I was the right choice for them on their special day.
Years after going to School together, and only knowing a little bit of each other – back in 2001 Jordan had a little bit of a crush on Tahlia, but unfortunately for Jordan – Tahlia didn’t have any interest of him. She didn’t want a bar of him…Well years went on, and it wasn’t until just over 2 years ago, that they would reconnect on Facebook.
Now depending on who you ask, and who stalked who – Jordan stalked some of Tahlia’s photos, and Tahlia stalked some of Jordan’s photos on Facebook and so Jordan decided to message Tahlia and see if they wanted to catch up. And from catching up, to late last year in 2015, Jordan & Tahlia went away for a weekend on the Gold Coast, and following a romantic dinner – Jordan proposed to Tahlia with the ring in the pocket asking that question that we all know “Will you Marry Me”.
Their wedding, at Spicers Hidden Vale in Grandchester was picturesque.
Spicers Hidden Vale is about a 1 hour drive from Brisbane, with the style and comfort of a luxury retreat with the warmest of country welcomes.
From the Ceremony, right through to transitioning across to the Reception for the evening – was just perfect.
With a beautiful Wedding setting at their Ceremony as guests arrived, and found their seats – with the kids doing a great job walking down the isle, and a lovely archway with white drapes hanging, the weather was just perfect! Working with Annette on some PA systems and Microphones so she sounded perfect – and then after playing some music, and welcoming guests to their seats – to handing out some flowers for everyone to throw – and some whirly bird things that you blow on for the kids – the ceremony was ready to start.
Guests chilled out in the lodge area with a few drinks & canape’s while I ended up climbing a ladder to turn a few fairy lights that weren’t switched on before guests made their way up to the Reception to be seated. Once they were settled, the sun settled and it became evening with a gorgeous dance floor out on the lawn with fairy lights over the top – inviting guests to dance the night away – and also set the location for Tahlia & Jordan to share their first dance as Husband & Wife, along with a special Mother/Son Dance with her son.
We had a couple of impromptu activities to lighten the mood a bit after speeches,
Lauren & Peter from Everlast Studio’s did an amazing job of filming & capturing the mood, and not to mention the most amazing First Dance picture I have ever seen!
