Tameka & Mike had used us previously at their Engagement Party back on the 21st March 2015 last year – and they had such a fun night for their Engagement Party – they asked if I could come and be their DJ for their Wedding at Rydges Southbank, in the City.

I was so excited to come back and be part of their night, and I remember their guests were really fun to play for too – they loved all the classic hits and songs – so much so that the night went into overdrive and we finished up around about 1:00am I think from memory!

The Rydges Southbank is a really lovely venue, with a view over the Southbank Precinct, and the almost 180 degree view off the waters, city skyline and of course the Southbank Wheel – the venue looked absolutely amazing!

I met with Tameka & Mike a few months earlier to the wedding to go through options – and although I really had hoped to be their Wedding MC & DJ – they decided for a close family friend to be their MC – so I was there to help them through with the music.

We discussed several options, and ideas for songs – and they also had access to our Online Music Planner where they could pick out their favourite songs and selections as well.

On the night they walked into Maroon 5’s Sugar for their Entry Song, and then some words from their MC to start the night off.

There were some funny speeches from a few friends and family as well, of Mike and his cars – and not long after that there was a beautiful 1st Dance to Goo Goo Dolls – Iris.

Tameka had picked out about 33 of her favourite songs from the list – with Maroon 5 for their Entry Song, and a range of Old & New for the dance floor with songs like ABBA, B52’s, Cold Chisel, Creedance, Jimmy Barnes, and we even had some Country Music on the night as well with some Alan Jackson which the guests (surprisingly) enjoyed!
